Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine where suction is used to promote blood circulation, reduce inflammation and increase relaxation. Think of it as a ‘reverse massage’, where the skin is being ‘pulled’ rather than ‘pushed’. Although cupping has been trending lately, the technique goes back to the ancient Egyptians, Chinese and other Middle Eastern cultures.
