Calories are units of energy. It’s a generalized mathematical formula that allows us to have an idea of how much we should eat to be adequately fueled for the day. The average adults should consume anywhere from 2,000 to 2,700 calories a day; however this will depend on your height, weight, age, gender and other factors as well. As you probably already know, some foods are calorie-dense while others not so much. So if you want to be strategic in your eating habits, here is what 200 calories looks like.
